Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a candidate to join our maintenance team. The position will be located in Rowley, MA, will have one experienced teammate locally and will report to the Chief of Maintenance in Berlin, NH. The primary responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Preventative and general maintenance of all shop equipment, including fabrication equipment and overhead crane system, all fleet vehicles including yard vehicles, building maintenance including HVAC and electrical systems
  • Ensure vehicles, cranes and equipment meet safety requirements mandated by state and federal government
The following is required in order to be considered for this position:
  • Must have strong mechanical problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Able to read, comprehend and work from technical documents, blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Able to perform basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing and welding projects in the course of minor repairs
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to read and speak English fluently
  • Comfortable with using technology in a paperless environment, including the use of administrative and maintenance related software programs
  • Quality and safety minded, strong knowledge of current OSHA regulations, certifications as plus
  • Experience in industrial machine maintenance, electrical systems, simple controls and mechanical systems, and automotive maintenance
  • State issued Driver’s license in good standing (will operate registered vehicles)
  • Must have reliable transportation to work
  • Able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Able to spend duration of shift standing, walking, performing repetitive actions that include frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching as well as extended periods of time using hand tools
  • Possess manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work
  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts produced
  • Able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Able to wear respirator and/or mask for filtering air as necessary
  • Work Environment: Enclosed and well-ventilated environment with often extreme hot or cold temperature conditions. Frequently works outside in extreme hot or cold temperature conditions.
