Capone Iron Corporation broke ground in March of 2015 in Berlin, New Hampshire for what would become Capone Iron Corporation North Woods.
Nestled in the heart of the White Mountains region, we fondly refer to our second facility as “North Woods”. Originally planned as a plate and detail shop to supplement our flagship location in Rowley, Massachusetts, North Woods quickly morphed into a modern state of the art structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication facility. The expansive 55,000 square foot fabrication shop shares the workload with Rowley and more than doubled our fabrication capacity. While both plants operate nearly paperless and have matching equipment, North Woods also offers surface blasting, plate processing, and plate bending capabilities not currently available in Rowley.
Our 15-acre property allows for innovative operations including safer and more efficient material handling and storage operations using our 77,000-pound capacity lift, better known among our employees as “Big Bird”.
In addition to our steel fabrication craftsmen, CICNW is home to a team of skilled estimators, detailers and support staff who stay connected and work seamlessly with our Rowley team on a daily basis.
